At approximately 10:20 a.m. local time, an unidentified 35-year-old man was fatally injured after being pulled into the engine of a Volotea Airbus A319 while it was being pushed back on the taxiway. The individual was neither a passenger on the flight nor an employee of the airport, and the circumstances surrounding his presence on the tarmac are still under investigation by Italian authorities.
