Kagoshima, Japan — A Japan Airlines (JAL) Boeing 737-846(WL), registered JA336J, experienced a tire puncture on the right main landing gear during landing at Kagoshima Airport (KOJ/RJFK) on Saturday, November 30, 2024. The incident occurred during flight JL647, a scheduled passenger service from Tokyo-Haneda Airport (HND/RJTT) to Kagoshima. The aircraft, carrying 150 occupants, landed on runway 34 at approximately 13:44 local time when the right tire of the main landing gear punctured. Witnesses reported seeing white smoke emanating from the damaged tire.
