Accident Analysis Report: Aeronca 7AC Champion (N1846E) , Hinckley Airport (0C2),

On June 7, 2025 , at approximately 14:30 local time, an Aeronca 7AC Champion (registration N1846E) impacted terrain west of runway 09 while on approach to Hinckley Airport (0C2), Illinois. The aircraft was on a local private flight with a 51-year-old pilot and his 3-year-old grandson. The pilot sustained fatal injuries, and the child was hospitalized in stable condition. The aircraft was substantially damaged.
