UPS MD-11 Cargo Plane Crashes in Louisville-Muhammad Ali International Airport– Seven Killed

A United Parcel Service (UPS) McDonnell Douglas MD-11(F), registered N259UP, crashed shortly after takeoff from Louisville-Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) in Kentucky on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at around 17:14 local time. The cargo aircraft was operating flight UPS2967 to Honolulu when it lost control during takeoff from runway 17R. According to initial reports and videos shared online, the number one (left) engine separated from the wing just moments after liftoff.
