UPS MD-11 Cargo Plane Crashes in Louisville-Muhammad Ali International Airport– Seven Killed

A United Parcel Service (UPS) McDonnell Douglas MD-11(F), registered N259UP, crashed shortly after takeoff from Louisville-Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) in Kentucky on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at around 17:14 local time. The cargo aircraft was operating flight UPS2967 to Honolulu when it lost control during takeoff from runway 17R. According to initial reports and videos shared online, the number one (left) engine separated from the wing just moments after liftoff. The aircraft then rolled sharply to the left and crashed into nearby industrial buildings, resulting in a massive fire. All three crew members on board and four people on the ground were killed. At least eleven others suffered injuries. Weather conditions at the time were clear, with light winds and good visibility, suggesting that weather was not a factor. American Airlines flight 1006 diverted to Denver and fire erupted on ground from number 2 engine

Denver International Airport - American Airlines flight 1006, a Boeing 737-800 diverted to Denver International Airport on Thursday 13 March 2025 17:15 after engine vibration reported during flight from  Colorado Springs Municipal Airport, CO (COS/KCOS) to  Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, TX (DFW/KDFW). After parking at the gate in Denver Airport the fire erupted on ground from number 2 engine , and the  aircraft was evacuated , and Twelve people were taken to hospitals with minor injures.
