Details:

A Cessna 172K Skyhawk crashed in a wooded area near Fredericksburg, Virginia, after attempting an emergency landing. The pilot, a 79-year-old man, was the sole occupant of the aircraft and was flown to Fairfax Inova Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
