A Boeing 727-227(F) operated by Aerosucre Colombia, registration HK-5216, experienced two separate incidents in December 2025. No injuries were reported in either event.
First Incident – 6 December 2025
On 6 December 2025, flight A42170 took off from runway 14R at Bogotá-Eldorado Airport (BOG). Shortly after departure, the aircraft suffered an electrical failure and the transponder stopped working.
The crew decided to return and made a safe emergency landing on runway 14L.
The airplane was not damaged, and all crew members were safe.
Weather conditions at the time showed light showers in the area but visibility remained good.
Second Incident – 12 December 2025
Six days later, on 12 December 2025, the same aircraft was involved in another event at Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport (BAQ).
Flight KRE140 was landing when the left main landing gear collapsed. The aircraft slid on the runway and the left wing was heavily damaged.
Emergency services responded quickly, and again, no injuries were reported.
Weather during the landing was calm with clear visibility (CAVOK).
Authorities are investigating both events. The aircraft, built in 1980, remains grounded until further inspection and repair.
